Tamil filmmaker Siraj passed away on July 24. He was 65. Known for directing films such as Enna Petha Rasa, Thangathin Thangam, En Rajangam and Oorellam Un Pattu, Siraj had been battling illness for a long time now. He had been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai for treatment. On Monday night, he died following a cardiac arrest.
Siraj was known to be a close confidant of actor Ramarajan. He worked on the Guinness World Record project Suyamvaram with 13 other directors. Following this, he eventually retired from the film industry.
