Actor Dulquer Salmaan will most likely sign on to be a part of director Salaam Bukhari’s film. Bukhari, a long term associate of director Anwar Rasheed and Bangalore Days fame Anjali Menon, makes his directorial debut with this film. The new project has been in production for a long time, and will reportedly be produced by Anwar Rasheed under his Anwar Rasheed Productions banner.
The Malayalam film will be jointly written by debutant Sivaprasad and Best Actor fame screenwriter Bipin Chandran. Reports indicate that the film will most likely take off in early 2017.
Bukhari began his career by assisting Vinod Vijayan. He has also appeared onscreen, as IT guy Salaam in North 24 Kaatham and as magician-turned-thief Salaam Pasha in Sapthama Sree Thaskaraha.
Meanwhile, Dulquer recently wrapped up filming on his project with Amal Neerad, and has begun work on his next with director Sathyan Anthikkad.
The actor has long been a fan of Anthikkad’s movies. He took to his official Facebook account to reveal his excitement at being a part of a Sathyan Anthikkad film.
Dulquer has done about 18 films since his 2012 debut Second Show. His films – Kali, Kammaattipaadam released earlier this year, and went on to receive favourable reviews.
