Emily Blunt in The Girl on The Train

Recommended

Emily Blunt, riding high on the positive response to her role in Sicario, is in talks to play the lead role in the film adaptation of the best-selling novel, The Girl on the Train. Often compared to last year’s thriller Gone Girl for its ‘unreliable narrator’, the story revolves around a recently-divorced alcoholic who dreams about a ‘perfect couple living in a house she sees every day riding the train. One day, she wakes up from a blackout, drenched in blood, and with no recollection of the events that led to her current state.

Directed by Tate Taylor, the book will be adapted to the screen by Erin Cressida Wilson while Dreamworks will handle the production.
