KV Anand wants the fans to decide the title of his next with Suriya. The director has started a poll on his social media account and has asked fans of Suriya to pick the best title for the film. The three options mentioned are Meetpaan, Kaappaan, Uirka. All three reflect the attitude of the film. Sources say that Suriya essays the role of a bodyguard in the film while Mohanlal plays the Prime Minister.

At present, UirKa has secured the most percentage of votes. The director posted that the team would unveil the title on January 1, 2019 and also thanked the fans for their participation in the poll.

Anand also used the opportunity to interact with fans. In response to a fan who asked for another option, Anand mentioned Kaanjagan as an alternative.

The spokesperson for the film told Silverscreen that they had recieved a very positive response from the fans for this initiative. “I think this is one of a kind and certainly new to Tamil cinema. We’ve never seen a major film’s title being decided on the basis of polls before. So this is a first. Also we want the audience to think of this as their film. That’s why when it was time to name our film, we went to them first.”
The first look poster will be unveiled on January 1, the spokesperson said. “We are getting a lot of calls regarding our poll. We did it out of love. And we are getting that response back. Some of the fans have even researched the meaning of the title and that level of involvement is something else.”
The film has Suriya, Sayyesha, Mohanlal, Arya in important roles. Lyca Productions is the producer. The film was launched in 2018 in London. Pattukottai Prabhakar has written the dialogues for the film.
