From Manikchand to Jio, Filmfare Awards has not lost its appeal despite the numerous claims that these awards functions are fixed. It is by far the biggest awards function in India. This year, though the nominations sparked some outrage, the final awards went to some of the most deserving talents of Bollywood.
Irrfan Khan bagged the best actor award for Hindi Medium, crowd favourite Rajkummar Rao didn’t manage to get nominated in the best actor award category but he went home with two awards – the critics award (Trapped) and best supporting actor (Bareilly Ki Barfi). Vidya Balan got the best actress award for Tumhari Sulu and best film went to Hindi Medium. Complete list is here.
But awards functions are not just about the winners. It’s also about the red carpet looks. There was a bit of quirk, a few traditional looks and some extremely chic.
