The Maharashtra Police on Thursday, filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra. According to a PTI news report in HT, the couple have been accused of duping a textile firm owner of Rs 24 lakhs.
Big Deals, a company in which Shetty and Kundra are directors, had allegedly collected money from customers for the sale of bed-sheets on behalf of Malotia Textiles through TV advertisements.
However, the textile firm has alleged that the couple has not paid them the proceeds.
A case has been registered at the Thane police station.

“FIR has been registered in Bhiwandi police station against Shetty and Kundra under sections 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating) of IPC,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil told PTI.
