First Look Of Abhishek Bachchan In Manmarziyaan Out; Film To Release On September 7

Photos of the characters from Manmarziyan, directed by Anurag Kashyap and which is the comeback vehicle of Abhishek Bachchan after a two-year hiatus, were shared online on Wednesday. The new photos give us our first good look at Abhishek, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal’s characters in the film.

Abhishek can be seen wearing a turban and has a stern expression. Taapsee and Vicky, meanwhile, look like the perfect young Punjabi couple, with Vicky even sporting a new hairstyle and a Jim Morrison T-shirt. Vicky previously worked with Anurag on Raman Raghav 2.0, in which he played a drug-addled cop and had an uncredited appearance in Bombay Velvet.

Amitabh Bachchan who shared these pictures on his Twitter wrote, “Your Daadi, Teji Kaur Suri pre marriage .. your par Nana Khazan Singh Suri .. your par Naani Amar Kaur Sodhi .. & all related must feel great pride and love for you .. as do I,”

In early March, Abhishek tweeted about returning to films after two years. He was last seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 3 which released in 2016. Abhishek, who has started shooting in Punjab for the film, also posted an Instagram video of the film’s crew having a meal at a dhaba, where they were surrounded by their fans. The cast and crew keep sharing pictures of the film’s shooting on locations.

Manmarziyan is co-produced by Aanand L Rai. This will be the first time that Abhishek will be collaborating with Taapsee and Vicky for a project.
