Actor and filmmaker Bill Paxton’s sudden death yesterday prompted an outpouring of emotion from his ardent fans. Many quoted his iconic line from the Aliens movie – “Game Over, Man! Game Over!” – as a sort of farewell to the sci-fi hero.
#BillPaxton is the only actor who holds the honor of being killed by a Terminator, a Predator, & an Alien. No one will ever match that #RIP

The Oscars ceremony also paid tribute to the actor. The news of his death was announced hours before the show, and Jennifer Aniston, who presented a segment, was still reeling from the news of his sudden passing. She choked up and said, “As was our beloved friend who left us yesterday, Bill Paxton, all were loved and all will be missed.”
Paxton, 61, is said to have died due to complications after an undisclosed surgery. The actor, known for his roles in Titanic, Aliens, Twister, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, leaves behind a wife and two children.
Through a statement, Paxton’s family said:
“A loving husband and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and film-maker.
“Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their adored husband and father.”
