GV Prakash Starts Shooting for his Next Romantic Crime Thriller

Music composer and actor GV Prakash Kumar has commenced shooting for his next romantic crime thriller with debut director DV Akilan.
The untitled film, whose music will be composed by Prakash, is slated to release in December. The film shooting kicked off, following all the government protocols including social distancing. A small puja was held at Valasaravakkam, near Chennai, on Thursday.
The director posted pictures of the puja on Twitter to announce the project and expressed his gratitude to God and happiness to debut with Prakash as the protagonist.
The film is being produced by Navira Cinemas.
In the film, Prakash plays a medical representative. The shooting will take place in Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. MA Rajadurai will be handling cinematography. The other cast members are yet to be finalised.
In an interview with The Times of India, the director said that while he was working on short film Motta Maadi, under two of Bala’s assistants, he had heard that Prakash was looking for a good script and decided to narrate it to him.
Prakash wrapped up shooting on Tuesday for Bachelor, directed by debutant Satish Selvakumar, the former assistant of director Sasi. The actor has also composed music along with Theni Eshwar for the Bachelor, featuring Divya Bharathi opposite him. The actor took to Twitter as well as Instagram to post the wrap-up pictures from the floor of Bachelor “after an extensive shoot of 15 days in Chennai and Bangalore.”
Showering praises on Prakash for his composition, actor Suriya Sivakumar released on Twitter the title track video song for Amazon Prime anthology Putham Pudhu Kaalai, a first in Tamil cinema, on Thursday.
Known for his performance in Bruce LeePrakash was last seen in the Tamil action thriller Sivappu Manjal Pachai  and in a Tamil romantic comedy 100% Kadhal. He started his career as music director and has composed music for several blockbuster movies including, the background score for Anurag Kashyap’s  Hindi crime series Gangs of Wasseypur.
