The India Vs Pakistan match held on June 4 was nothing short of dramatic. India beat Pakistan by 124 runs to win their first ICC Champions Trophy 2017 match at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Sunday. While tempers flared and anxiety rose, the match also had a frustrating break, thanks to the rains.
Each time a wicket fell, Virat Kohli couldn’t stop from chuckling, displaying full confidence in his team’s bowling skills. Yuvraj Singh was adjudged ‘Man of the Match’ for a terrific fifty in the innings.
While the match’s highlights were the rains and India’s seemingly easy victory, here are others outside the stadium:
Actor Dhanush, who professes to be a huge cricket fan, met his all-time favourite cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Just like any fan, he grinned and sealed this moment with a photo.

Director CS Amudhan, who is always active with live commentary on Twitter during matches, was surprisingly dormant this time. We suspect he followed the headline of his recently-published article for The Times of India about maintaining peace in the time of India vs Pak match.
I have to admit, the person screaming the last line is me. #ToIArticle pic.twitter.com/uXw66T53ki

Actor Harish Kalyan told Silverscreen that he watched the match with a few friends. Mind you, it wasn’t a party, he said. “I think my favourite moment was when there was rain and there was a pause. But after a long time, I was watching a match continuously. It was great fun, especially when India reached 300 and it was evident who’s going to win.”
And then, there were the memes.
