Hip Hop Tamizha’s Aadhi will essay the role of a hockey player in his second film. Produced by Sundar C, the movie has Karu Palaniappan in an important role. Parthiban Desingu, who co-directed Maan Karate, is the director.
A spokesperson for the film told Silverscreen, “Hockey is our national sport. This film is a tribute to the sportsmen and women who play the game. It is also our intention to honour the game which has not attained the fame that other type of games have in the national level.”
The film is untitled as of now and the team hopes to reveal the title through a first look that will be launched on November 4th this year. Music is by Hip Hop Tamizha. Aadhi and Jeeva have composed eight unique songs for the movie. The music launch may happen by the end of the year, the spokesperson said.

Many of the films scenes, including some hockey sequences, were shot on a grand scale. Sundar C, producer of the film, says that the film showed great promise and that is why he wanted to develop it on a larger scale. “Aadhi and director Parthiban have done a fantastic job bringing the script to life. I have been betting on Aadhi for a long time now since he is a promising young talent both on the music front as well as acting. The film will be a treat for everybody,” he said.
The team shot mostly in places in and around Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Special permission was also obtained to shoot hockey sequences in national hockey stadiums in the State, Sundar C added.
Anaka makes her film debut through this movie. She has a strong role in the film, the spokesperson said. Actors Pandiarajan, Kousalya, Vigneshkanth, Erumasaani fame Vijay, Harish Uthaman, Shaara, and Bijili Ramesh have been given important roles in this project. A release date has not been set as yet.
