The audio launch of actor Silambarasan’s (STR) Idhu Namma Aalu’s audio launch has been delayed to July, according to a tweet from the actor. A message from the Silambarasan’s brother Kuralarasan – who is also composing music for the movie – said that the audio could not be released today as originally planned due to “several reasons.” The debutant composer added that he is “working day and night” to finish the album.

Silambarasan also added on Twitter that his long pending film Vettai Mannan has not been shelved, and that he is planning to screen the trailer during the intermission of his film Vaalu. His films have faced a series of setbacks and delays of late; and the actor has not had a release since 2012. Since then several movies – Vaalu, Vettai Mannan, Idhu Namma Aalu– have been stalled in various stages of production. He is now acting in a Gautam Vasudev Menon movie titled Acham Enbadhu Madamaiyada.
Idhu Namma Aalu directed by Pandiraj marks the re-union of Silambarasan with his real-life ex-girlfriend Nayanthara. Andrea, Santhanam, Soori, Arjunan, Jayaprakash and Udhayabhanu Maheshwaran will be seen in supporting roles.
