It’s not every day that you find a Bollywood celebrity from the older generation taking time out to watch a Tamil film.
Javed Akhtar watched a subtitled version of director Rajiv Menon’s new movie Sarvam Thaala Mayam. The Sholay writer was impressed by the underdog story about a lower caste boy breaking into the world of classical music.
Won over by multiple aspects of the movie, Javed Saab decided to take to Twitter to let his feelings be known. Unfortunately for the writer, the autocorrect in his phone, never used to such sudden outbursts of enthusiasm decided to play spoilsport during the occasion. A well-intentioned tweet from the writer’s part turned out to be,
Watched a Tamil film “ sarvam thalamus Maryam “ directed by ace cameraman Rajiv Menon. Well made well performed , very sensitive . It is an unusual story about music and social justice . Achhi picture Hai .

Actor Siddharth was quick to jump on to this. The actor is anyway known for his sometimes random, sometimes fun, often strong responses to others’ tweets. From U.S.President Donald Trump for chiding climate change to a random user questioning his need for being vocal about everything happening around, nobody in the vicinity of his timeline has been spared till date.
Needless to say, the actor, upon seeing the mishap, jumped at the opportunity to pull the septuagenarian’s leg. Having decided to have fun with it, the actor posted:
"Javed Tamilus Killingam" achha naam hai. https://t.co/LC37LTsJ6z

Like a kid working on a tongue twister, Akhtar managed to get his Tamil right only to lose out on the English part when he dropped an ‘a’ in the latter part of the tweet.
I watched the Subtitled copy of sarvam thaala maryam a Tamil film directed by the ace cameraman Rajiv Menon. Loved it . Good story good direction and good performances .it is sensitive film about social justice in the music world .

Acknowledging Siddharth’s tweet, Akhtar said,
Dear Siddharth I totally understand your feelings. This is how I feel when some one murders Hindi or Urdu . My unconditional apologies. I have punished my self by writing that title again and again .

Taking note of the candid nature in which the scenarist conducted himself throughout the conversation, the actor duly said,
Hahahaha! Epic! Thank you Javed Saab. Very sporting of you sir. Much love. ❤️ https://t.co/SSbrhGzqkR
