Jayam Ravi Signs Three Films With Screen Scene Media

Actor Jayam Ravi, who was last seen in debut director Karthik Thangavel’s cop thriller Adanga Maru, has signed three film deals with the production house Screen Scene Media Entertainment. The actor announced it officially on his twitter handle on Friday.

Sharing his joy on signing the deal, he said in a statement, “More than feeling excited about signing a 3-film deal, what makes me honestly happy is the passion of Screen Scene Media Entertainment to produce so many movies. The presence of these production studios is really a boon to Tamil film industry and I would have been happy even if any of my friends from the industry had got this deal.”

He further spoke about why he decided to sign up with the production house. “I have personally observed and got amazed by the selection of movies that SSME was earlier, and is now, associated with. It is obvious that they have been dedicated to marketing and releasing substantial content-bound movies. In this aspect, I am curiously looking forward to working on content-driven roles and scripts produced by them. Of course, if not for the creatively compelling minds of the filmmakers who chose me for their films, this would have not been possible.”

Ravi said that discussions about the projects are on. Official announcements regarding the cast and crew will be made soon.

He is currently working on the upcoming film Komali, directed by debutant Pradeep Ranganathan. Said to be a romantic comedy, the film stars Kajal Aggarwal and Samyuktha Hegde in the lead. It is reportedly being shot in a school, and the actor has gone down by 20 kgs for the film. Shoot is happening currently in Chennai where special school sets have been erected. The film is produced by Vels Film International. Music is composed by Hiphop Tamizha.
