Jiiva has been approached to play the male lead in Sam Anton’s next. Anton made his directorial debut through Darling, the 2014 horror film which was the surprise hit among the movies that released during Pongal.

The actor’s spokesperson told Silverscreen, “Sam Anton has approached Jiiva for the lead role in his next. It is an interesting script, and at present, we are trying to figure out the hows and the whys of it all. We will make an official announcement regarding the project soon.”
This is Anton’s third film as director. His last film was the GV Prakash starrer Enakku Innoru Per Irukku. The movie did not fare well at the box office.
Jiiva, too, is looking to strengthen his career with a successful film. The actor’s last profitable project was Endrendrum Punnagai in 2013. His successive releases – Yaan, Pokkiri Raja, Thirunaal – opened to negative reviews and did not perform as well as expected.
