The first schedule of director Ramnath’s Thirunaal has been completed, and the team is on a break before the second schedule begins in Kumbakonam. According to the New Indian Express, the second schedule will feature several action sequences, as well as two songs.

The movie is an action-drama set in a village. Actor Jiiva essays the role of a village tough, while actress Nayanthara is most likely a teacher. No foreign shoots were necessary for this film. After the debacle of Yaan, Thirunaal will be a comeback film for Jiiva, who also has two other projects in the pipeline.
Actor Sharath Lohitashwa of Pandiya Naadu fame and Joe Malloori are a part of the supporting cast, while music director Sri and cinematographer Mahesh Muthusamy are on board the technical team.
