Multi Starrer ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ All Set To Have A Diwali Release

The multi-starrer, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is all set have a Diwali release. A love movie, it’s directed by Karan Johar, and has Aishwarya Rai, Ranbir Kapoor, and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. The movie has wrapped up its shooting and the director took to Twitter to announce the release date.

The movie produced by Fox Star India and Dharma Productions stars Fawad Khan, Imran Abbas, Lisa Haydon and Deepti Naval as part of the supporting cast. The movie started shooting late last year in London. This movie marks the first time under Karan Johar’s direction for all the lead actors.

Last seen in Salman Khan’s Sultan, Anushka Sharma has many movies lined up for release. Her upcoming movie Phillauri, directed by debutant director Anshai Lal, is scheduled to release on 31 March, 2017.  She also has another movie with director Imtiaz Ali alongside actor Shah Rukh Khan, in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, actor Ranbir Kapoor who was previously seen with Anushka Sharma in Bombay Velvet awaits the release of his long expected film with Katrina Kaif, Jagga Jasoos. Recently, there was also news that the actor will be seen in a biopic, playing the role of his grandfather, Raj Kapoor. The movie will be produced under their RK banner.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil marks the comeback film of director Karan Johan after his last directorial outing with Student of the Year, in 2012. But the director/producer has kept himself busy with a steady stream of productions under his banner, Dharma productions. The latest films under his banner were Baar Baar Dekho and Kapoor & sons. It can also be noted that he will be producing ‘OK Jaanu’, the Hindi remake of the hit Tamil movie, O Kadhal Kanmani.
