Jyothika’s upcoming movie with Dream Warrior Pictures has been titled Ratchasi. The film is directed by debutant S. Raj.
A source told In.com, Ratchasi will be the working title for the movie. “The film is yet to be titled, but the tentative title is Ratchasi. The team use Ratchasi to address the film and it is the working title. If things are unchanged, that will very much become the final title of the film,”
Reports say Jyothika will be playing a school teacher in the film. “Jyothika plays a school teacher in the film and it will be a very interesting film to watch out for.” Khaaka Khaaka, in which the actress last played a school teacher, had gone on to become a huge success with her performance winning appreciation from people.
The official launch of the movie happened in November with a pooja function that was attended by actors Suriya and Sivakumar.

Poornima Bhagyaraj, Sathyan, Hareesh Peradi and Kavitha Bharathi will be among the cast. Composer Sean Roldan and cinematographer Gokul Benoy are part of the crew. Philomin Raj has signed up for editing and Pawal Kumar for art direction.
SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu will produce this movie under the banner Dream Warrior Pictures. They are also currently producing the much-awaited Suriya-starrer Nandha Gopala Kumaran, directed by Selvaraghan. Their last project was Aruvi starring Aditi Balan, directed by Arun Prabhu.
While more details about the film is yet to come out, the makers had announced that a school set worth Rs 50 lakh had been erected in Chenai, with most of the shoot set to take place there.
Jyothika was last seen in Radha Mohan’s Kaatrin Mozhi. The movie was a remake of the 2017 Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu.
