Kannada actress Kaavya Sha makes her Tamil debut with director Bala’s Tharai Thappattai. Speaking to The Times of India, Kaavya stated that she doesn’t play the lead role, but will appear throughout the film.

A choreographer for award functions, Kaavya further added that she did not intend to do anything other than Kannada movies, but Tharai Thappattai was an exciting offer that she couldn’t decline.
Tharai Thappattai stars Sasikumar and Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar in the lead roles. The film – which has Ilaiyaraaja as the composer – is based on Karagattam, a traditional dance form of Tamil Nadu. The team is now Tanjore-bound to shoot some important sequences.
