Actress Kajal Aggarwal, who is awaiting the possibly delayed release of Paayum Puli, will play one of the female leads in director Deekay’s romantic comedy Kavalai Vendam. Keerthi Suresh had earlier agreed to play the part, but was subsequently unable to allocate dates for the film and has now opted out. Her ongoing projects include Rajini Murugan and Paambu Sattai. The other female lead in Kavalai Vendam, which Deekay has called a ‘heroine-oriented film’, is Nikki Galrani, who recently moved house from Bangalore to Chennai to keep up with all her film commitments. The film also stars Jiiva, who plays the role of a chef.
The first look poster of Kavalai Vendam featuring Jiiva, Bobby Simha and Nikki Galrani was released a couple of months ago. Deekay’s most recent film Yaamirukka Bayamey was a horromedy starring Kreshna, Rupa Manjari, Karunakaran and Oviya. It was well-received by theatre audiences as well as critics.
