Kajol will play a single mother in Ship Of Theseus director Anand Gandhi’s next project. The film, produced by Ajay Devgn, is an adaptation of Gandhi’s play for the big screen. Interestingly, Gandhi will not direct the project. He has just co-written the script.
“He (Anand Gandhi) will not be directing the film, he has written it (story). We are still in the scripting stage, final scripting is going on. I am playing a single mother in this film. It’s a nice story and I am excited about this role,” Kajol told PTI.

Anand Gandhi is also ‘excited’ about this project. “It has been great collaborating with Ajay on the movie. I am glad that a play I did many years ago has now been chosen to be made into a movie. I am excited about the fact that it will feature Kajol,” Gandhi told PTI.
The film will go on the floors in 2017.
Kajol was last seen onscreen in the SRK film Dilwale. The movie did not fare well at the box office.
