Kamal Haasan has wrapped up the shooting of Thoongaavanam (Cheekati Rajyam in Telugu) and is looking to start off on his next project, which he is planning to wrap up quickly.
Now, Kamal is on the lookout for a directorvto helm this film which is touted to be comedy entertainer.

Reportedly, Singeetham Srinivasa Rao and Mouli are the frontrunners, since Kamal has worked with these directors in comic capers like Kadhala Kadhala and Pammal K Sambandham. The actor is keen on finishing this film at the earliest, so that he can move on to other ambitious projects of his, like Vishwaroopam II and Amar Hai, his Bollywood project which was announced early in June.
There were reports earlier that this upcoming film was made to compensate the losses suffered by the producers of Uttama Villain. Many reports suggested that Kamal was planning to sell the theatrical rights of Thoongaavanam to Thirrupathi Brothers. However, the production house denied the news.
