Kangana Ranaut, who is currently basking in the success of her directorial debut Manikarnika, has announced her next project. The actress revealed that the movie would be an action, epic drama.
The actress said that the project is in its initial stages, however, an official announcement could be expected soon. “I’m on the verge of announcing my next directorial venture. It’s an action film, an epic drama. It has taken a lot of my time. Currently, we are putting everything in order, but we have locked the script. We’ll be doing a photoshoot, soon after, which we plan to release the poster, too,” the actress was quoted by In.com.
Earlier, the actress had announced that her next directorial was going to be based on her own life. “My own story is the subject of my next directorial. But it is not a propaganda film with characters who are starkly black and white, rather it is a sincere, heartfelt account of my journey so far with plenty of lighter moments,” she was quoted in an India Today report.
She had said that Baahubali writer Vijayendra Prasad would soon start writing the script. “I was nervous and wary initially, but then, given his stature and the fact that I trust him implicitly, I gave Vijayendra sir the go-ahead on the project,” she said.
Kangana also plays Jayalalithaa in AL Vijay’s biopic on the former Chief Minister. Titled Thalaivi, the film is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and is a Tamil – Telugu bilingual.
