Nikhil Siddharth has reportedly been approached to reprise Atharvaa Murali’s role in the Telugu version of Kanithan. It was earlier rumoured that Ravi Teja was signed on as the male lead.
Kalaipuli S Thanu, producer of the Tamil version, told Silverscreen:

“We weren’t able to kickstart Kanithan in the first half of 2017. My production house was busy with a variety of other films. Now, we’ve made plans to begin work on it immediately. Rest of the details will be confirmed via an official press release soon.”
While a DC report had stated that Telugu producers, Tagore Madhu and Nallamalapu Bujji, were eager to produce the Telugu version, Thanu dismissed these reports.
“I have every intention of producing the Telugu version as well. TN Santhosh is the director,” Thanu said.
Kanithan, starring Atharvaa Murali and Catherine Tresa in lead roles, is an investigative thriller about a young man who decides to take on a powerful crime network on his own.
