Actress Katrina Kaif is in talks to launch her own fashion label. According to Hindustan Times, the actress has been working on the project for a while now. Katrina Kaif confirmed the news, saying, “It’s true that I am planning a label. But it’s too early to give out any details right now. I will make an announcement soon.”
An insider told HT, “Katrina has been toying with the idea for a long time. While not much is known at this stage, the project seems exciting. She has also been in discussions to tie up with big brands in different spheres, where she feels she will be able to create things that reflect her personality.”

Reports indicate that the label will not be restricted to clothing alone. At present, Kaif is looking for established brands to tie-up with. The actress even travelled to London recently to hold meetings with venture capitalists for her new enterprise. If all goes well, the launch will happen in early 2012, sources said. Other Bollywood celebrities with their own fashion lines include Deepika Padukone (with Van Heusen and Melange), Hrithik Roshan (HRX), Shilpa Shetty (SSK), Kareena Kapoor (Bebo), John Abraham (with Wrangler), and Alia Bhatt (with Jabong).
Katrina Kaif recently starred in Dharma Productions’ Baar Baar Dekho. She will star alongside Salman Khan in Tiger Zinda Hai, and in Jagga Jasoos with Ranbir Kapoor.
