On Monday morning, Farhan Akhtar took to Twitter to release the first look and title of his next production under Ritesh Sidhwani and his Excel Entertainment banner. The film titled Phone Bhoot will star Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ishaan Khatter in the lead roles.
Helmed by Gurmmeet Singh, the film is touted to be a horror-comedy entertainer. The lead trio is seen in tuxedos jumping about in excitement.

While Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath have been roped in for penning the script, the rest of the cast and crew is yet to be revealed. The makers shot the poster for the film prior to the coronavirus-imposed lockdown and will commence with work on the film at the end of the year. Phone Bhoot will hit screens in 2021.

Meanwhile, the lead actors have a slew of films in the pipeline. Katrina will next feature in Rohit Shetty‘s Sooryavanshi, Ishaan in Mira Nair‘s BBC One/Netflix Original A Suitable Boy and Maqbool Khan’s Khaali Peeli, and Siddhant in Varun V Sharma’s Bunty Aur Babli 2 and Shakun Batra’s untitled next with Deepika Padukone and Ananya Pandey.
