Actor Saran Sakthi, last seen in Vada Chennai, has joined KGF: Chapter 2. The film, directed by Prashanth Neel, and starring Yash, Srinidhi Shetty and others, is currently being filmed in Kolar Gold Fields.
Saran announced the news on Twitter recently, saying he was super happy to be working with the team. His role is yet to be officially announced, but reports speculate that he plays the teenage version of Yash’s character in the film.

Saran Sakthi made his debut as a child actor with Mani Ratnam’s Kadal in 2013. He later played supporting roles in Vishwaroopam, Jilla, Rummy and Sigaram Thodu. Last year, he was seen in Vetrimaaran’s Dhanush-starrer Vada Chennai, as the brother of Aishwarya Rajesh’s character Padma. He also starred in the lead in Sagaa which released earlier this year.
KGF: Chapter 2 is a continuation of the first part, is set in Kolar Gold Fields, and features Yash as gangster Rocky, and Srinidhi Shetty as his lover. Raveena Tandon is also said to play an important role. Sanjay Dutt stars as the antagonist Adheera. His character’s poster was recently released on Instagram.
The film is written and directed by Prashanth Neel, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films. The shooting began in Kolar earlier this year, with Ramakrishna Raju, Vasishta N Simha, Ayyappa P, Harish Rai, Ananth Nag and others who star in important roles. Music is by Ravi Basrur, cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda, and art direction by Shivakumar.
KGF released last year in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi, and was the first Kannada film to earn Rs 200 crores worldwide. It also bagged two National Awards – For Best Special Effects (Bengaluru-based Unifi Media) and Best Action Direction (Vikram Mor and Anbariv)
