Kodi To Release This Diwali

Kodi will release on October 28. The film will join Karthi’s Kaashmora and Suriya’s Singham 3 in theatres this Diwali. Dhanush took to his Twitter account to announce Kodi’s release date:

The film has Dhanush in dual roles, with actresses Trisha Krishnan and Anupama Parameswaran cast as the female leads. Said to be a political thriller, the film is directed by Durai Senthil Kumar, and jointly produced by director Vetrimaaran for his Grassroots Entertainment and Escape Artists’ Madhan.

Speaking to Silverscreen.in, Durai said, “I made my debut with Dhanush sir’s production house. I wrote Kaakki Sattai’s story with him in mind, and now I am doing a film with him. It’s been a great honour to watch him this close, and work with him too. The film is shaping up well, and is all set to release in October. I can’t wait for everybody to see and cheer Dhanush in Kodi.”

Durai also revealed that Dhanush plays two completely different roles in the project. “Keeping in mind that this is Dhanush sir’s first dual role film, we’ve taken great effort to establish both characters in a unique manner. This film will be a treat to all Dhanush fans, as it will have two of their favourite stars onscreen.”
