On Tuesday, it was reported that despite the strike announced by the Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council (TFPC), Vijay is shooting for Thalapathy 62, directed by AR Murugadoss, in Chennai.
The TFPC announced a complete shut-down in Tamil Nadu from March 16 onwards as a result of which no new Tamil movies are releasing and there are no film shooting taking place.
But the crew of Thalapathy 62 had special permission from the TFPC to shoot in Chennai’s Victoria Hall. Some filmmakers were miffed with the special treatment while others spoke in favour of Vijay.
First to react to this was the owner JSK Film Productions J Satish Kumar, he tweeted that he strongly opposes this decision taken by the council as it doesn’t unite everyone.
Actor #Vijay ‘s shooting is happening now at Victoria Hall. Where is our unity? How can our council give spl permission? I strongly oppose this decision. Don’t split up.

Later, Siddharth too tweeted displeasure.
Every single film is an equal challenge in today’s brutal cinema marketplace. If these special permissions to shoot are given to one, please give them to all producers. We are all the same. In the absence of equality and unity, god save us. #TamilCinema #Strike

Comedian and character artistes Karunakaran and Manobala have also reacted against this decision from the TFPC. Karunakaran tweeted this:
Strike irukku Ana illa? pic.twitter.com/3VsY9aEvyC

Soon after these comments were made, Vijay fans on Twitter started trolling them and questioning their authority.
All these unity seekers, shouldn’t you be asking questions to your #TFPC head about permission rather than targeting the actor. Instead of voicing out wherever it has to be, but tweet here, you are bound to get good&bad replies. Accept it as well.

Don’t talk about unity when actors did not show it when a fellow actor was left alone to fend for himself when he faced problems. Why should he give a damn about this people?! Hypocritical Tamil film industry that questions vijay instead of producer council ?! #Thalapathy62
