Kuttram Kadithal, which won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil, is now looking for bigger recognition, as the makers have applied to get nominated as India’s official entry to the 88th Oscar Academy Awards. It must be noted that critically acclaimed Kaakka Muttai, which won the National award for Best Children’s Film, and SS Rajamouli’s Tamil-Telugu bilingual Baahubali have also been considered by the committee selecting the official nominations for the Oscars from India. An announcement on the official entry is expected on the 25th of September.
Kuttram Kadithal has been directed by debutante Bramma G, with newcomers Master Ajay, Radhika Prasidhha, Sai Rajkumar and Pavel Navageethan in prominent roles. The film will release on the 24th of September, confirmed the producer JSK Sathish.
