Actress Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli has been roped in to play a police officer in the movie, Rendaavadhu Aattam. The movie will be helmed by Prithivi Adhitya and will see Sarath Kumar in the lead role. The former cricketer and theatre artiste will be seen as an investigative officer in the movie.
The Maya actress told DC, “When Prithivi narrated the script to me, I okayed it without any hesitation. It had a solid role for me.”
The actress was quick to add that her role would not be that of a routine khaki-clad police officer. “I portray an investigating cop, who helps Sarath Kumar sir, who also plays a high-profile police officer. There’s scope for action sequences in the film. But, there’s no romance for me in RA,” she quipped.

Lakshmi Priyaa will also be seen in a pivotal role in Nivin Pauly starrer, Richie. “The teaser released recently has created an online wave. I play a fisherwoman called Philomena and it was challenging considering that I am a vegetarian and have never touched fish in my life; I had to come out of my comfort zone to essay the character,” she said.
The actress will also be seen in Revelation along with Chetan and a multilingual film – Pakshi.
