Rajinikanth’s Lingaa has received a U certificate from the censor board, and is all set for a December 12th release. Even though the movie is embroiled in legal issues, the Lingaa team is upbeat that the hurdles will be overcome and the movie will release as planned.
According to a spokesperson for the movie, Lingaa will be released in nearly 3000 screens worldwide in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Starring Rajinikanth, Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty, and directed by KS Ravikumar, the film has the superstar in dual roles and is partly set in the pre-independence period. AR Rahman is working on composing the background score for the film and is expected to deliver the master copy in a few days. Lingaa is produced by ‘Rockline’ Venkatesh.
