Umadevi has written the lyrics for a ‘moving’ song in Night Show. It is the only track in the album and will be used repeatedly throughout the movie. The movie has actress Nayanthara in a pivotal role and will see her play mother to a five-year-old child. Speaking to Silverscreen, Umadevi said, “The song is a very intense one and is in direct contrast to the first song I wrote – Naan Nee for Madras. When I first heard the situation for which I had to write, I was very moved and inspired. That Nayanthara will be seen in it is also a source of much pride for me.”
Umadevi is also a part of two other films – Pugazh and Aadhyan. She has penned a ‘fun love song’ for the Jai – Andrea starrer, set to the music of Vivek Siva and Mervin. For Aadhyan, she has written two songs – one of which is expected to feature the vocals of Shakthisree Gopalan.
