Actor Madhavan has been approached to play Aishwarya Rai’s love interest in Fanney Khan, which will go on floors from September.
According to a report in Mid Day, “Madhavan may be paired opposite Aishwarya Rai in the film. Madhavan is yet to give his nod for the script. If things work out, this will be the second time that they work together in a film. Though they teamed up earlier for Guru, they were not cast opposite each other.”

Reportedly, Fanney Khan is the remake of the Dutch film, Everybody’s Famous. It is the story of a 17-year-old aspiring singer, whose career become successful after her father kidnaps one of the top singers in the country. Aishwarya Rai plays the role of the popular singer in this one.
The film, also starring Anil Kapoor, is directed by Atul Majrekar. Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai were last seen in Satish Kaushik’s 2000 film, Humara Dil Aapke Pass Hai.
Fanney Khan, reportedly, also has a social message about body shaming.
