Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s next film together is Majili, the actors confirmed through posts on their social media handles. The film is their fourth together as lead actors. They first co-starred in Ye Maaya Chesave, the Telugu version of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya.

The first look features Naga Chaithanya and Samantha holding each other close. Samantha wears a brown salwar with her hair tied back. There’s a non-descript black handbag in her arms. Chaitanya wears a dark blue checked shirt.
The first look also bears the lines: ‘There is love, There is pain’.
Samantha posted on her social media that the many phases in her life had brought her to this point and that the upcoming year will be one full of ‘special films’.

A spokesperson for the film told us that the film comes with huge expectations since it marks the coming together of Chaithanya and Samantha after their marriage in 2017. Majili is directed by Shiva Nirvana, who debuted with the film Ninnukori.
“And Majili is geared to be the perfect film for them to come back and act as a couple. It is a romance and its very magical. Majili will be a milestone. Quite like their three films before this,”the spokesperson said.
Chaithanya and Samantha have had an eventful year this far. Chaithanya had three releases this year – Mahanati/Nadigaiyar Thilakam, Saavyasachi and Shailaja Reddy Alludu.
Samantha, on the other hand, had five releases – Mahanati, Rangasthalam, Irumbu Thirai, Seema Raja and U Turn, the Tamil and Telugu Remakes of the Kannada film of the same name. She produced these films as well as acted in the lead role.
