Malayalam actor Dileep, who has been accused of orchestrating the sexual assault and kidnap of a popular Malayalam actress, is reportedly set to move the court against the police after they failed to provide crucial documents for his counsel’s perusal.

For a while now, Dileep’s counsel has been asking for copies of the visuals of the actress’s kidnapping in Kochi. While a lower court allowed his counsel to take a look, they now want a copy of it, something which the police isn’t keen to provide.
However, the police say that since these come under vital evidences in the case, and also taking the actress’s privacy into consideration, the copies cannot be furnished.
The 49-year-old actor was arrested on July 10 last year as part of the conspiracy behind the abduction of the actress in February this year. He was lodged at the Aluva sub-jail for the past 85 days. He had surrendered his passport after he was given bail in October last year.
