Mammootty’s Parole Set To Release On Mach 31

Parole, the upcoming Malayalam drama starring Mammootty, has a release date now. The movie will release on March 31.

Written by Ajith Poojapura, the film is directed by debutant Sharrath Sandith. Mammootty is seen in the role of a Kerala Communist Party supporter named Comrade Alex. In his career, he has portrayed several characters in the past which have advocated Communist ideologies, like Sivadas from Stalin Sivadas or Raghavan from the 1987 classic political movie, Adimakal Udamakal directed by IV Sasi.

On a similar note, Mammootty’s character Alex in Parole, a communist rebel is seen as a convict. The actor has played a prisoner in the movie Yathra of Balu Mahendra and Munnariyippu directed by Venu. Apart from Mammootty, the film will see Mia George, Iniya, Siddique and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The music is composed by Sharreth.

Mammootty was last seen in the bilingual thriller Street Lights and has also made a cameo as himself in the Jayasuriya movie Captain. Apart from Parole, the actor has a series of movie lined up, including the release of his critically acclaimed Tamil movie Peranb and the recently announced Telugu movie, a biopic on late Andhra Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
