Malayalam actor Mohanlal who is considered as the versatile actor, and has over the years gained the title The Complete Actor is celebrating his birthday today. The actor has a bunch of movies up his sleeve coming this year including the much-awaited release of Odiyan. In Odiyan we will see the actor in a whole new getup and it renders the story of Odiyan Manikkan a black-magician from the ancient fables of Kerala.

Mohanlal, in turn, released his upcoming release Neerali’s trailer today. The film which is directed by Ajoy Varma is a thriller.
As far as the actor’s upcoming filmography is concerned Mohanlal is making some historical appearance in films like Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, Randamoozham and Kaayamkulam Kochunni. The actor has previously announced his reunion with the longtime collaborator director Priyadarshan in the film Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, which will be a recreation of the classic tale of the hero Kunjali Marakkar’s story.

Another interesting movie on the line for Mohanlal is Lucifer. Directing by actor Prithviraj in his debut as a filmmaker, the movie is scripted by Murali Gopy and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashrivad Cinemas. The team Lucifer has already announced that the film would start shooting at its earliest. But neither the director nor the scriptwriter has given any hints on the character of Mohanlal, or the story.

The actor is currently working on a project in the United Kingdom which will be helmed by director Ranjith. Another highly anticipated movie of Mohanlal, which the Indian cinema is looking forward is Randamoozham, an adaptation of the novel written by MT Vasudevan Nair which is a rendition of The Mahabharata, through the eyes of warrior Bhima. The film will be directed by Odiyan’s filmmaker Sreekumar.
Finally adding to the actor’s announced list is the anticipated uniting of Surya and Mohanlal for a Kollywood movie which will be directed by KV Anand. The untitled project also has Telugu actor Allu Sirish on board. Even though his son made his entry into the silver screen, Mohanlal is going in full force delivering his best to the movie he’s been a part of.
