As the sensational combination of Nagarjuna and Ram Gopal Varma team up once again several years after they last worked on several sensational films including cult classic Siva, expectations are high on their upcoming film Officer. Even though the buzz around the film has been low, there’s a general curiosity to see if they will be able to recreate the magic.
While the film was to release on May 25th earlier, the team decided to postpone the film, owing to some internal issues. The film will now release on June 1st.
Confirming the same, director Ram Gopal Varma posted on Twitter, “Since many technical elements of #Officer with regard to the best viewing experience are taking much longer than initially planned, we decided to postpone @iamnagarjuna‘s Officer release from 25 th May to 1st June (sic).”
While Nagarjuna has no romantic interest in the film, Myra Sareen has been roped in to play the female lead of another important character in the cop drama that is set in Mumbai.
