Natty To Star Opposite Aishwarya Rajesh In ‘SK16’?

at Bongu Press Meet

Cinematographer-actor Natarajan, better known as Natty, reportedly stars opposite Aishwarya Rajesh in director Pandiraj’s SK 16.

A source close to the film told Silverscreen that he was part of the cast. However, Aishwarya Rajesh has said that he was not paired opposite her.

The film reportedly stars Sivakarthikeyan as the brother of the character played by Aishwarya Rajesh. The story is said to be based on their relationship. Anu Emmanuel plays the lead opposite Sivakarthikeyan. Directors Bharathirajaa and Samuthirakani will be seen in important roles. Actor-producer RK Suresh, Soori and Yogi Babu are part of the supporting cast.

D Imman is the music composer for the film, Nirav Shah is the cinematographer, Anthony Ruben is the editor and actor Veera Samar is the art director.

The film is pitched as a rural family entertainer. It was launched in May.

This is Pandiraj’s next after the tremendous success of Kadaikutty Singam. The film has been predominantly shot in Karaikudi so far. Latest reports say that it may release even before Sivakarthikeyan’s sci-fi film Hero. The film was initially scheduled for a Pongal 2020 release, but according to In.com, September 27 is the date being considered now.

Natty is renowned for his work as a cinematographer in Hindi and Tamil films such as Thuppakki, Puli, Black Friday and the recent Malayalam film My Story, starring Prithviraj and Parvathy. He is also known for his role as a con-man in H Vinoth’s directorial debut Sathuranga Vettai (2014). He has acted in films such as Bongu, Richie, Milaga and Naalai as well.

Aishwarya Rajesh was recently seen in Sivakarthikeyan’s production debut Kanaa and has signed up for a number of films, including Dhruva Natchathiram, the Vada Chennai sequel, Mei, the Telugu remake of Kanaa, an untitled film with Vijay Deverakonda, and Mis(s)match.

Sivakarthikeyan is busy with director PS Mithran’s Hero, and is likely to begin work with Vignesh Shivan on SK 17.
