Actors Nayanthara and Arya are reportedly teaming up for a new film. The film has the working title Sandhana Devan and is reportedly a period drama that will delve into connections beyond the country’s boundaries. The two actors had previously collaborated in Boss Engira Bhaskaran (2010), with the film becoming a commercial hit and known for its tagline ‘Nanben Da‘. The duo again collaborated for director Atlee’s romantic-drama Raja Rani (2013). This film, too, was a commercial success with reviews lauding the chemistry between the lead pair.

While Arya confirmed his involvement with Sandhana Devan earlier this week and revealed that the film would be set in a rural background, Nayanthara is yet to issue a statement.

Currently, Arya is shooting for an upcoming film – Kadamban, directed by Raghavan. The film has Catherine Tresa as the female lead, with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The cast and crew are filming key sequences in the forests of Tamil Nadu, and are gearing up to release the film in November this year.
