Thalapathy 63 is said to be a crime-thriller, and is Vijay and Atlee’s third project together after Theri (2016), and Mersal (2017). Producer Archana Kalpathy will bankroll this project under the banner AGS Entertainment, and as with Mersal, AR Rahman will compose music with lyrics penned by Vivek and GK Vishnu will be the cinematographer.
There are few reports in speculation that comic actor Vivekh might also be the new addition to the crew, as earlier in Mersal, veteran comedians like Vadivelu and Kovai Sarala played important roles in the film. However there is no official confirmation from the makers side.

As to the rest of the main-line crew, Atlee goes with the same team he had for Mersal which includes editor Antony Ruben, stunt director Anal Arasu and art director Muthuraj.
Sources suggest that Aalaporaan Tamizhan, a song from Mersal, is the title being considered. If everything goes as planned, this movie will be the actor’s next Deepavali release.
On the work front, Nayanthara will be seen in another thriller movie called Kolayuthir Kaalam, directed by Chakri Toleti and Airaa directed by Sarjun. She will also be seen as the female lead in Ajith’s Viswasam directed by Siva, Sivakarthikeyan’s untitled film with director Rajesh, the Malayalam film Love Action Drama, directed by Dhyan Sreenivasan and a Telugu period drama, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
