Nayanthara, who is currently shooting with Chiranjeevi for Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, will star opposite the actor in Koratala Siva’s new movie. Anushka Shetty was considered for the part earlier.
According to Indian Express, Koratala Siva had approached Chiranjeevi with a script earlier this year. Later on, reports emerged that the director had cast Anushka Shetty as the female lead in the movie which was touted to be a social drama. Shetty and Chiranjeevi had appeared in a song previously in the actor’s 2006 movie Stalin.
It is now being reported that Nayanthara has replaced the actress. Nayanthara is currently shooting alongside the actor in Ram Charan’s production Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. A real story based on the life of the freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the movie also stars Sudeep, Vijay Sethupati, Jagapati Babu and Tamannaah. Amitabh Bachchan will make a cameo appearance in the movie directed by Surender Reddy.

Meanwhile, Nayanthara, whose Imaikaa Nodigal and Kolamavu Kokila was widely appreciated, has a slew of projects lined up for next year. Apart from Love Action Drama in Malayalam and Chakri Toleti’s Kolayuthir Kaalam, the actress will be sharing screen space with Ajith in Viswasam. She has also been paired opposite Vijay in Atlee’s new film.
