Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, last seen in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo and Bejoy Nambiar’s Wazir, will now be seen in the fourth installment of comedy franchisee – Golmaal. Titled Golmaal Again it will be directed by Rohit Shetty. The actor will begin shooting for his role soon after his wedding with Rukmini Sahay.
“It’s an interesting character of a corporate tycoon who arrives on the scene to take the story forward. I’m an ardent fan of Rohit’s work and like his brand of comedy. The script is hilarious, I was in splits during the narration,” he told ToI.
Parineeti Chopra and Tabu are the new entrants in the film. The film also marks Tabu’s return to comedy, having last acted in Priyadarshan’s comedy caper Hera Pheri (2000). When asked in a recent interview if she disliked comedy, considering she’s been away from it for 17 years, the actress said, “I really don’t have any preferences, biases or prejudices against any kind of cinema. I take up whatever is interesting. People will always approach you with what they think you are good at. I am glad that there are certain kind of roles people identify me with. At the same time, it’s great that somebody like Rohit thought of casting me in a film like Golmaal.”
Ajay Devgn, Shreyas Talpade, Arshad Warsi, and Tusshar Kapoor will play the same characters from the first three films and the shoot for the film will take place in Goa and Mumbai mostly.
Meanwhile, apart from Golmaal Again, Neil has a few shooting days left for Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Indu Sarkar. The actor is currently gearing up for his wedding which will take place in Udaipur on February 17.
