Whether it’s Aadu Thoma from Spadikkam or Mangalaserri Neelakandan of Devasuram or even the macho Indhuchoodan from Narasimham, Mohanlal’s characters have always sparked interest. Now, the expectations are high for Mohanlal’s upcoming fantasy movie Odiyan.
The latest still from Odiyan reveals a fierce side of his character who is seen in a hoodie.

Ever since the announcement of the movie was made last year, Mohanlal fans have been speculating about the film’s director, Sreekumar who was working in advertisement before making his directorial debut with Odiyan. Mohanlal’s Rs 1,000-crore film, Mahabharatam, based on the Jnanpith recipient MT Vasudevan Nair’s Malayalam novel ‘Randamoozham’ (Second Turn), is also being directed by Sreekumar. The film will release only in 2020, in Hindi, English, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu.
Team Odiyan has been sharing details about Mohanlal’s character Odiyan Manikkyan and his story on social media.
The team started their initial shoot on the banks of Ganges in Varanasi, with Mohanlal sporting a beard.

The team has also shared a video on the making of the movie from Varanasi.
Manju Warrier is the female lead. Prakash Raj will be seen in a Mohanlal film after 20 years and senior Malayalam actors Innocent and Siddique will also appear in pivotal roles. Another attraction is the stunt director, Peter Hein who has famously crafted the sequences in Mohanlal’s superhit movie Pulimurugan.
The actor recently shared a picture from Thenkurssi, where the last moments of film was shot.

Before Odiyan’s release, Mohanlal will be seen in the thriller movie Neerali, which is set to release in June.
