Although his recent films were all duds, actor Nikhil is excited about his next film Mudra, a remake of Tamil film Kanithan. The film is directed by TN Santosh, who also directed the original. The first look of the film was released on the actor’s birthday.

Nikhil will be playing a journalist in the film that stars Lavanya Tripathi as the female lead. Speaking about his preparation for the role, Nikhil said, “I am doing my homework. It’s not an easy role to play.”
Apart from this, the actor also has a good line-up of films. While he is prepping and set to shoot for Mudra, Nikhil will also begin work on Karthikeya 2, the sequel to one of his most successful films, that will be directed by Chandoo Mondeti. The actor has expressed a great deal of excitement in the past about this project because the earlier film marked a new phase for him in his career.
