Nitin Dwarkadas Kapoor, husband of actress Jayasudha, killed himself by jumping off the terrace of his residential complex in Mumbai. The ex-producer is said to have been undergoing treatment for depression when he leaped from the six-storey building in which he was residing. He was 58.
Neighbours took him to the hospital, and the doctors declared him brought dead on arrival. The 58-year-old is a cousin of yesteryear Bollywood actor, Jeetendra.
“Kapoor was jobless for the last 18 years. His family resides in Hyderabad, and he was staying in Mumbai at his sister’s house,” said DCP Ashok Dudhe, a police spokesperson.
The DCP also added that Kapoor was undergoing treatment at a private hospital for depression over the last year and half.

No suicide note has been recovered yet, and a case of accidental death has been filed at the Versova police station in Mumbai, the senior official said.
