Nivin Pauly Starts Shooting For Mikhayel

Nivin Pauly started shooting for Mikhayel on Monday. The actor took to Twitter to make the announcement. The movie that goes by the tagline ‘The Guardian Angel’ is directed by Haneef Adeni who had previously directed the Mammootty-starrer The Great Father.

Produced by Anto Joseph, the movie was announced in July this year. This is the first movie that the actor has started shooting for after the floods in Kerala. The actor’s last release was Hey Jude in February this year.

Nivin Pauly is currently awaiting the release of Kayamkulam Kochunni –  a movie initially planned as an Onam release but got postponed due to the floods in the state. The actor had met the Chief Minister last week to discuss the rehabilitation work in the state.

After the meeting, he was asked by the media regarding the contributions made by the younger crop of actors towards the relief fund. He said that everyone has been doing their bit and not all were comfortable discussing their efforts in front of the media.

He also lauded the government’s efforts during the process while maintaining that one needed to visit the relief camps to understand the gravity of the loss endured by the people of the state.

Meanwhile, almost all the films slated for an Onam release had to be postponed due to the crisis in the state. Among these films were the Mammootty-starrer Oru Kuttanadan Blog and Biju Menon’s Padayottam.
