Former Bigg Boss contestant Oviya continues to be in the news with rumours floating around that she might make a comeback to the reality tv show Bigg Boss Tamil. The actress, who became a social media sensation, has been reportedly approached for a Vijay-Murugadoss film and is being considered for Sanghamitra.
Her spokesperson told Silverscreen that she is taking rest in her hometown, Thrissur, and has not yet finalised her next project.
“She was in Chennai for sometime after her exit from the show. Now, she has gone to her hometown to make a complete recovery,” the spokesperson said.

Oviya has been summoned by the Tamil Nadu Police and has been asked to appear for questioning in the investigation into her alleged suicide attempt. Regarding this, the spokesperson said, “As she is unwell and undergoing treatment, the channel will handle it.”
Has she been approached for Vijay-Murugadoss film? “She has been receiving many offers but has not signed on anything.”
Kamal Haasan, on last night’s show, hinted that “people’s favourite person may comeback”. The audience immediately raised Oviya slogans. Though Haasan didn’t deny it, there was no confirmation either. Also, it was announced on the show that people who stepped out may make a comeback.
