Director Pandiraj, at a recent press meet, said that his film Idhu Namma Aalu might hit the theatres by the last week of February or first week of March. Currently, the movie’s post-production work is going on.
Pandiraj was speaking at a ‘Thanksgiving meet’, organised to celebrate the success of his recent films, Pasanga and Kathakali. “Everything seems to be going on in a positive direction. Re-recording of the first half of Idhu Namma Aalu has been completed. If everything goes well, the film will hit the theatres by the last week of February or first week of March”, he said.

When quizzed about a one last song from the movie which is yet to be shot, the director said, “Yes, the song, ‘I’m waiting‘ is yet to be shot. We are unable to get Nayanthara’s dates.It is our fault because she had given us dates before, but we wasted it. I am planning to talk to Nayanthara regarding this. Meanwhile, STR is planning to shoot the song with some other girl. We will have to wait and see.”
Idhu Namma Aalu, a rom-com starring STR and Nayanthara, had ran into many delays in the past. It had also made it to the headlines for a Twitter spat between Pandiraj and STR’s brother and music director Kuralarasan.
